What you got to use is twelve two with ground 12 gauge wire. You can get 12/2 in maybe 15-foot roll, 25-foot roll and they’ll even cut it for you. 12 gauge is 420 amp and we don’t want to use 14 gauge wire because that’s too small. The higher the number the bigger the wire. 12 gauge wire is fairly stout water, 10 gauge is even thicker 14 gauge is thinner, and 14 gauge is for 15 amp circuits. For a 20 amp circuit breaker, we got 12 gauge wire. Some people ran 15 gauge wire or 14 gauge wire, I don’t know why they did that they’ve got it on a 20 amp breaker. There’s a theory 12 12 gauge wire 20 amp breaker, 14 gauge wire 15 amp breaker. So for 20 amp breaker, somebody uses 12 12 to with ground.
