Talk about kitchen cabinet standard sizes is one basic kitchen wall. The wall is a standard 96 inches which are eight feet. Some homes have nine-foot ceilings or ten-foot ceilings. Start at the bottom and work our way up. The finished floor is basically your finish ceramic tile, finished hardwood but it’s not including your subfloor. Kitchen cabinets are designed to fit on to set on that finished floor. Thirty-four and a half inches is your basic standard size for a kitchen base cabinet. Then up above that, you have your countertop. Most of the time your countertops will be one and a half inches thick that includes laminate tops. Solid surface tops will be one of the half inches thick. If you did go with a hardwood maple butcher block countertop that would also be one and a half inches thick. Some of the tops that will vary from that will be stone tops. usually, those thicknesses are three centimeters is one and a quarter inches thick. But in general terms, your countertop finishes out at 36 inches above the finished floor. Above the countertop you have backsplash space, most of the time people will run ceramic tile. So the 18-inch space is a good standard. It is acceptable to lower the kitchen wall cabinets down to where you only have a 15-inch space instead of an 18-inch space. Any shorter than that you’re going to have a difficult time getting coffee pots, mixers, blenders, or some taller kitchen appliances. Above that, there is a standard sized wall cabinet those are generally 30 inches tall.
