Loading...Do you have area rugs? Are they the right size and material for your space? There is so much to think about before you buy area rugs. You’re going to spend a good amount of your budget on a rug. Don’t get it twisted like spending the money on a rug. We don’t want to get it in our space it’s too small or it’s too big, it doesn’t fit and it doesn’t work. Talk rugs the biggest thing is the size, typically everybody has a rug and it’s a large rug like 9×12. Always remember that you need to have a little what we call air space around that rug. So give like 12 x 18 inches just around the perimeter. Because we also want to show off our floor. Do the rug at the point after the furniture is already in position. Then we can decide whether to have all of the furniture on the rug or all of the furniture off the rug. Ideally, everyone wants all the furniture on the rug, it depends on the size of the rug. So if this was a nine by twelve or an eight by ten, having all of the furniture on the rug really works well. Because you can also put your end tables on the rug. The other thing to consider is that if you have some on and some off what will happen is remember the leg at the back of an end table needs too. That works well in a living room area not so much let’s say in an office or a dining room.
